Description
- The Lead Product Forms Analyst owns the commercial product forms (CMP, Business Auto, Commercial Umbrella, and any future additions).
- As the Lead Product Forms Analyst, you’ll drive the commercial forms effort in support of Mercury’s goal of profitable growth which may also include expansion into other states and other classes/lines of business. This includes all aspects of the forms life cycle, competitor research, benchmarking, coverage language development, compliance, collaboration with cross-functional teams, forms auditing, and process improvement.

State specific pay scales for this role are as follows:
$92,154 to $174,681 (CA, NJ, NY, WA, HI, AK, MD, CT, RI, MA)
$83,776 to $158,801 (NV, OR, AZ, CO, WY, TX, ND, MN, MO, IL, WI, FL, GA, MI, OH, VA, PA, DE, VT, NH, ME)
$75,399 to $142,921 (UT, ID, MT, NM, SD, NE, KS, OK, IA, AR, LA, MS, AL, TN, KY, IN, SC, NC, WV)
The expected base salary for this position will vary depending on a number of factors, including relevant experience, skills and location.
Requirements
Lead the creation of new forms and revision of existing forms for rate level and maintenance rollouts across multiple commercial lines of business.
- Independently manage the forms process for Commercial Multi-Peril (BOP), Business Auto, and Commercial Umbrella.
- Support forms development in non-assigned lines of business, including peer-review.
- Write new and revised policy and forms language in collaboration with the Product Manager/Analyst and the various functional areas, with a focus on clarity and customer experience.
- Work closely with Legal and Compliance departments to ensure forms continue to remain compliant with applicable laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with Product teams with DOI filings and objection support.
- Lead forms process improvement and forms process documentation.
- Lead in identifying forms production issues and maintaining a record of known forms issues and propose and execute solutions.
- Lead the standardization of forms language and style across forms within an assigned line of business. Propose consistent forms language and drive alignment within a line of business by securing buy-in from key business partners.
- Conduct legal research and analysis of existing and pending laws and regulations, and determine forms impact.
- Support Product Field and Product Research & Development by conducting forms research and analysis.
- Provide backup support as acting Forms Manager and handle related responsibilities, as needed.
Support the implementation of new and revised forms, working with IT to ensure they are implemented accurately and compliant with regulations and laws, and consistent with DOI filings.
- Participate in the creation of forms requirements to ensure appropriate triggers are programmed, as needed.
- Develop improved processes and methods for post-implementation auditing and routine compliance audits of product forms.
- Establish process to document the lessons learned from these audits to ensure identified process gaps are remedied.
- Work closely with the Compliance Manager/Analyst and Legal to determine solutions to identified problems.
Execute solutions to ensure compliance issues are prioritized and remedied appropriately.
Propose creative solutions and develop enhanced approaches to new and existing policyholder communications (new business and renewal cover letters, conditional renewal notices, etc.) with a focus on transparency, relationship-building, and retention. Drive consistency across lines of business to ensure there is a cohesive and consistent style.
Coordinate updates to the existing Product Forms Library
- Identify and propose enhancements to the library and develop improved process to ensure the library is up to date and useful to the end-user.
- Lead efforts to establish a master library of Word templates of all Product forms.
- Implement enhancements to the library, including appropriate security settings to ensure version history and records integrity are maintained.

Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, English, or Communications
- Or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
Experience:
- 5+ years in Property and Casualty insurance industry, preferably in Product Management, Claims, or Underwriting, with a focus on commercial lines of business
- 1+ years project management experience is preferred
- Or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
